As a gamer, I have always had a special place in my heart for the Call of Duty games due to there being such a large part of my childhood and teenage years.

If you want a gun that is as powerful as a sniper rifle and easy to carry around, then the Lockwood MK2 marksman rifle is the gun for you.
This gun sure does pack a punch and can one-shot your enemies; however, to make it even better, here are some of my recommendations.

The 25″ Buffalo Is my choice for the barrel in the Lockwood MK2 as this will improve the bullet velocity and the damage range in this weapon.
This attachment is also going to give you better hip fire accuracy and is going to provide you with a boost in your sprint speed.

The Comb I have chosen here is the Lockwood Merciless which helps sprint to fire speed and the aim down sight speed. The Longhorn lever gives you more speed while you rechamber the gun.
For the Stock, I have gone with the Lockwood Bullseye Stock, which helps with the sprint speed of your character while buffing the Crouch movement and aim down sight speed of the weapon.
Finally, as the Muzzle, the FTAC Dreadnought was the obvious pick as it helped with the bullet velocity and decreased the gun’s recoil.
The Muzzle will also keep the gun’s sound of the weapon suppressed, which will be necessary to get silent shots as you dispatch your enemies stealthily.
Best Lockwood MK2 Loadout: Perks And Equipment
The Lockwood MK2 is a good marksman rifle that will help you dispatch your enemies from a distance. However, a good set of perks and equipment will go a long way with them. Here are some of my recommendations.

For the secondary weapon, I have gone with the Lachmann Sub MP5, which is a good weapon, especially for close counter combat.
The marksman rifles need to be reloaded with every shot, which is why an SMG is necessary to dispatch your enemies if they get in close-quarter combat with you.
Overkill is my pick for the base perk 1, allowing you to carry two primary weapons. For the base perk 2, I have chosen the Strong arms perk, which will enable you to throw grenades at your enemies at longer distances.
For a marksman rifle, faster reload timing is necessary, which is why Fast Hands will be my go-to perk as the bonus. Focus is also an excellent alternative to consider as a bonus perk.
The Ultimate perk I have chosen here is High Alert, which will notify you if any of your enemies has spotted you.
For the Tactical equipment, I have chosen the Spotter Scope, as this will allow you to spot your enemies from a distance. My pick for the lethal equipment is Semtex, a sticky grenade attached to a timer.
Finally, as the Field Upgrade, I have chosen the Anti-Armor Round, which will give you ammo with enough power to damage vehicles and armor.
How To Unlock Lockwood MK2 In Modern Warfare 2
If you are a regular player of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, then unlocking this weapon will not be very difficult for you. All you have to do is rank up until you reach military rank 23; you will receive the Lockwood MK2 available in your multiplayer matches.
If you want to try the weapon before using it in multiplayer, fire up a private match where all weapons and their respective attachments are unlocked from the get-go.

The Lockwood MK2 is a good marksman rifle but using this weapon boils down to it being more of an acquired taste. Yes, it can one-shot your enemies; however, this weapon is only suitable if you use it in long range.
