It is more than safe to say that Slime Rancher 2 is one of the most interesting games that you can play. However, the thing that you must understand is that if you are looking for an adventure sim that requires you to catch creatures and whatnot, then you are going to have fun.

Now, catching creatures is not as easy as one might think, especially when you are trying to go after some of the more elusive ones.

In this post, we talk about where to find ringtail slimes in Slime Rancher 2. As the name suggests, these slimes are not your ordinary ones and it takes some patience finding these because they are not as openly available for you to look into.

That is what we are here to sort out because we are going to help you do just that.

Where To Find Ringtail Slimes In Slime Rancher 2

Now, we know that there are a lot of cute slimes in Slime Ranger 2, but the Ringtail Slime is going to take some time and effort.

This racoon-like slime hides itself during the day and how does it achieve that? It turns into a statue and when that happens, you cannot really do much.

As compared to other slimes that you come across, it even has a different appetite, and this means that this slime at hand is a bit more challenging to get.

Now that we have established this, we already know that in order to catch this slime, you will have to work a bit harder than you normally would but don’t worry, we are going to get through that.

In order to find the Ringtail Slimes in Slime Rancher 2, you will have to go to the Starlight Strand during the day and at night.

However, it does not end just there because you are also going to find Ringtail Gordo slime along with regular slimes that you can find in the eastern part of the area.

Now, reaching the Starlight Strand is no easy job as you are going to need a jetpack, which you can create when you are looking for Moondew Nectar.

Now, all of it might seem like an easy way in and an easy way out but it is a bit more complicated. You see, when you are going to catch the Ringtail Slimes, during the daylight or when exposed to the sun, these slimes will turn into stone so they cannot be captured. However, the good news is that you can still capture them by a single trick.

Related context:

All you have to do is take them to a cave and they will reanimate them, and once they reanimate, you can go ahead and suck them up.

However, if you do not have the patience to do that, you will have to wait for the night time to be able to hunt them.

Now, you have to understand that they don’t have a specific diet as they will eat everything. This means that you will have the chance to give them whatever you feel like.

However, since they do not have any specific diet, it means that you cannot double their Plort drop by using their favorite food. They also overeat, and that reduces the Plort drop, as well.

Thankfully, there appears a smirk on their face that tells that they are full, and if you see that smirk, it is your time to remove any food from their pen.

One more thing here is that the Ringtail Slimes will only produce Plorts when they are hungry. This means that you should not leave the food for too long. You can also let them turn to stone during the day to ensure they don’t go ahead and eat all the food there is.

Final Verdict:

Simply put, I do understand the frustration that comes from trying to catch Ringtail Slimes, and if you are running into such an issue, you would be more than happy to know that this post is going to tell you all about it.

It might not be apparent right away, but if you are doing it right, you will be catching these slimes in no time.
