After all, who does not want a relaxing experience overall, right? Now, the game is fun, for sure. But it does require some grinding, and we all know that the grinding thing is not something that sits well with everyone, and therefore, you have to keep that in mind in the first place.

Now, if you are finding yourself wondering how to get ash in Slime Rancher 2, you might be having a hard time considering how there is no shortage of guides and tutorials available on the internet.

Well, I aim to make sure that the process is as easy as it could be, and we are going to take a look at everything that you need to know. So, let’s not waste time and have a look, shall we?

How To Get Ash In Slime Rancher 2

Although Slime Rancher 2 is no difficult game by any means, it is important to know that you are not going to get a specific direction or indication that tells you where you can go to get ash in the first place.

The funny thing is that most of the time, players might not even know whether the ash exists or not. That is, until they run into Fire slimes.

Now, for those who are not aware, Fire slimes are native to Ember Valley; at the start of the game, this area is locked in the game.

So, when you start exploring the Rainbow Island, the Ember Valley will be locked, but when you do go there, you will see a massive volcano with caves and underground geysers that you can use for traveling around.

Deep within the mountains, players will encounter massive lava pools that will have bright red slimes inside of them. Farming these fiery slimes is easy, however, the next task is going to ask you to feed them, and feeding them is not easy because these slimes are only going to eat ash.

Where do I find ash? Good question. The sad thing about finding ash in Slime Rancher 2 is that it is not as easy as some other resources. If you want to farm it, you can only get it done by going to the Conservatory.

This is the home base in the Rainbow Fields, this means that Ranchers can get their energy back, sell Plorts, farm slimes, raise chickens, and do more. There are plots placed around the Conservatory.

You will need to find the Incinerator when you are at the Conservatory because that is where the ash comes from.

However, you cannot just go ahead and use the Incinerator as you will have to go ahead and build it first, and that requires Newbucks. So, there is some farming that is involved. Thankfully, Incinerator only costs 450 Newbucks.

However, building the Incinerator is just the first step. Once you are done with it, you will need to get your hands on another upgrade to collect Ash from it. This will be called Ash Trough and will cost you 500 Newbucks.

From that point, it will be easy because Ash comes from anything that goes inside the Incinerator to be destroyed.

So, if you are looking to get your hands on as much ash as you want just so you can go ahead and pick up Fire slimes, this is the best way to do that because you will not have to worry about anything going wrong, to be honest.

Once you have filled it with ash, you can shoot Fire slimes into the Ash Trough, and they will start dropping plorts.

However, you need to remember that it is important that you are filing it because Fire slimes have a habit of venturing outwards whenever they are hungry, and well, they do get hungry.

Final Verdict:

Now that we are done telling you what needs to be done and what needs to be avoided, it is safe to say that you will be able to get your hands on ash in Slime Rancher 2 with ease.

I do understand that the process of getting it is not as easy as some might think but hey, the option is there, so if you want to go ahead and be certain that everything is properly sorted, you can just look at this article, and you are good to go.

As always, Slime Rancher 2 is a lot of fun when you are playing the game, but I do understand some of the aspects of it that can lead to frustration, and there is nothing wrong with it.

But hey, if you do want a way out, then this is the best way to ensure that you are not creating any issues, either. You will not have any problems that might be coming in the way. Your experience in Slime Rancher 2 largely depends on how you are willing to go ahead and get things sorted.
