How To Get More Inventory Slots In Slime Rancher 2
Sadly, Slime Rancher 2 makes it a bit hard for players who are just starting out as the game only gives you four inventory slots and you can carry only 20 items before you are going to have to either sell or deposit them.
It surely is irritating if you are in the beginning hours of the game and you are not sure about which resources that you should be going for and the ones that you should be avoiding.
Now that we are done talking about the idea of getting more inventory slots in Slime Rancher 2, we are going to actually work our way to make that happen. After all, it is not something that will just happen on its own, so we have to work towards that.
For inventory slots, the best way is to get the Extra Tank upgrade; this can be found at the Fabricator.
All you need to do is go to the underground laboratory and you will find the Fabricator and Refinery. The refinery is not something you will use right away, so let’s focus on the fabricator for more slots.
You will need to head into your Fabricator and select the Upgrades tab. Once you are there, you are going to find the Extra Tank upgrade and in order to do that, you are going to need some resources that I am listing down for you.
- Newbucks x450: You can start by selling plorts at the Market and then open the Treasure Pods and you are good to go.
- Rock Plorts x10: You can start feeding the rock slimes and then pick up the plorts that they leave behind. You can feed them heart beets so you can get your hands on twice as many plorts.
- Silky Sand x10: You will need the Resource Harvester and then you will need to use the vacpack to vacuum geysers that can be found in the Starlight Strand.
Once you are done with this upgrade, you will have your hands on a fifth inventory slot. However, I am going to teach you how to go even further and get a sixth inventory slot.
Since you have created an extra tank and you do not have more resources, you can actually go ahead and upgrade your inventory.
Your best bet is to get your hands on the Tank Booster upgrade that will allow you to carry extra units at a time. You will need these resources to get things done.
- Newbucks x450: Start by selling plorts at the Plort Market, and once that is done, open the Treasure Pods to get more resources.s
- Tabby Plorts x10: Find the tabby slimes and pick up their plorts. If you want twice the plorts, feed them Stony Hens and you will get more plorts.
Once you are done getting the upgrade, the maximum carrying capacity for each item will increase. Instead of having a 20-item limit, you will now be able to hold 30.
You can even go ahead and improve your tank twice and that is going to allow you to carry up to 50 items at a time once everything is fully upgraded.
I do understand that when you are looking at this, there is sort of a grind involved in the process, but the good news is that if you are looking forward to get your hands on more inventory, you do not have to keep repeating the grind as it is more or less a one-time thing.
