A weapon may start as somewhat of a weakling; however, with the perfect loadout, it can become serviceable enough to become a long-term primary weapon.
The FTAC Recon is no weakling in any sense of the word. Despite being released as the weapon available to you the moment you get into multiplayer, do not underestimate it.
From the get-go, this battle rifle has the potential to dominate your enemies, and with the perfect loadout, you can expect to make your enemies run far away. So to accomplish this goal, I will tell you in this article about the best FTAC Recon loadout in modern warfare 2.

The FTAC Recon is one of the first weapons in Modern Warfare 2. Even at stock, this weapon is a force to be reckoned with; however, with the right attachments, this weapon can become overpowering. So here are some of my recommendations regarding the loadout.

To create a weapon that prioritizes power and stability at equal footing, I first decided to add the Bull Rider 16.5 as the barrel attachment for the FTAC Recon.
This attachment is going to allow you to increase the bullet velocity and damage range while at the same time keeping the gun stable by decreasing its rate of recoil. Your shots will seldom miss the target, thanks to the increased accuracy of the weapon.
Staying on the topic of accuracy, the Optic I have chosen here is one of my favorites, the Cronen Mini Red Dot, which does a great job every time I install it in a weapon.
This Optic allows you to accurately aim at a target, ensuring that your every shot counts. Moreover, the Edge 47 as the underbarrel supplements the weapon’s stability by decreasing its recoil.
The rear grip I have chosen for the FTAC recon is the Support CP90 which allows you to aim at your enemies at a stable rate and take them out with fewer shots fired.
Yes, you will lose some of your moving speed with this attachment; however, with the .458 Overpressured +P ammo in your magazine, this will ensure that your enemies do not have enough time to react.

Best FTAC Recon Loadout: Perks And Equipment
The FTAC Battle Rifle is one of the best starter weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I would recommend anyone to start their multiplayer with this weapon as their primary; however, you still need a balanced arsenal of complementing perks and equipment here.
Here are my recommendations for the perks and equipment with the FTAC Loadout.

The first thing I will address here is which gun you will choose as your secondary weapon. The FTAC Recon, a battle rifle, is much suited to long-ranged battles where you will dispatch your enemies from a distance. My loadout also makes the weapon somewhat heavier, giving you more power and stability.
For this reason, I have chosen the Lachmann Sub MP5, an SMG, for the secondary weapon. This weapon will help, especially when you find yourself in close-quarter combat and need something lighter to dispatch your enemies and run around the map. The Lachmann Sub MP5 is the ideal weapon as a secondary for the FTAC Recon.
The Double Time perk I have chosen as my contender for the base perk 1 will complement the FTAC Recon by giving you more stamina to run. This weapon is heavy, which is why the extra boost is appreciated.
Considering we need an SMG in secondary we have to go with the Overkill as the Base Perk 2, having an SMG will sure you win those really close gunfights.
The FTAC recon magazine is tiny, so I have chosen Fast Hands as the bonus perk, allowing you to reload faster than the default. If you are in a sticky situation, this perk will allow you to swap to the prescribed Lachmann Sub MP5 more quickly.
The High Alert perk I have chosen as the Ultimate perk also compliments the FTAC Recon by letting you know through pulsating your vision that an enemy outside your Field of view has spotted you. This will give you ample time to take cover and take action against them.
Now on to the Tactical Equipment; my first choice for the FTAC Recon is Spotter Scope, which will allow you to spot your enemies from a distance.
As for the Lethal equipment, I have chosen the Proximity Mine, which will significantly damage your enemies as you blow these up from a distance.
Finally, as the Field Upgrade, I have chosen the Anti Armor Round, which, as the name suggests, will allow you to penetrate vehicles and body armor.
How To Unlock FTAC Recon In Modern Warfare 2
do not get angry with me as it is a starter weapon if you get the Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition which is still available now for you to purchase.
However, if you do not want to spend that money, do not worry; getting this weapon is not that hard. All you have to do is get yourself to military rank 14, and as a reward, the FTAC Recon will be unlocked.
This will take some time; however, you do not need to worry about leveling up certain weapons to get the Recon.
However, if you want to test out the weapon before setting your mind to unlocking it, fire up a private match against bots where all weapons and their attachments will be unlocked to you by default.
