I cannot preface this article enough when I say that my love for the Call of Duty games has trumped over a lot of things I have or once had in my life.
So, it is safe to say that I have spent enough time playing these games to understand their mechanics fully. The guns, the star of any call of duty, have had my attention.
When I heard about the release date of Modern Warfare 2, I ticked my calendar and waited for it. I got into it immediately after its release, as I had preloaded it earlier.
Once I got the handle of the game and discovered the new Gunsmith, I got right into it and spent hundreds of hours perfecting every gun.
Good thing that I get paid for doing so once I write such articles you are reading right now, as I would have probably died of starvation before I would even notice my energy levels going down.
So after trying out different loadout for the Kastov-74u in private matches against the bots, I finally perfected its loadout formula. So, without further ado, here is the Best Kastov-74u Loadout in Modern Warfare 2.

The Kastov-74u in Modern Warfare 2 is a fantastic weapon as it is somewhat of a rename of the previously adored AK-74u, which you would remember if you are a veteran Call of Duty player.
Despite being the gun good, it has some kinks to it, which I am here to iron out using the loadout mentioned below.

Despite being a great gun, the Kostov-74u has a lot of recoil going, which displaces and leads to weapon misaiming.
To mitigate this, I have chosen the Echoline GS-X Suppressor as the muzzle for this gun. This will iron out some of that terrible recoil and gives much-needed stability to the weapon.
It also allows you to suppress your fire which is good if you want to stay under the shadows and pick out your enemies silently.
For the Underbarrel, I have gone with the FSS Sharkfin 90, which also helps with the gun’s recoil. This attachment will also increase the gun’s accuracy, making it an absolute domination machine during long multiplayer sessions.
The Demo-X2 as my rear grip is a decision that is again influenced by the fact that this gun has bad recoil at stock.
This attachment further decreases the weapon’s recoil and boosts the stability much needed as my next attachment introduces some recoil in the gun.
To make the Kostov-74u more mobile and easy to carry around, I have decided on the BR209 as the barrel.
Yes, I hear you in the back when you say that I have introduced some recoil here, but with the plethora of anti-recoil attachments I have already installed, it is not as bad as it once was when the weapon was in stock.
Finally, as my last attachment, I have chosen the Cronen Mini Red Dot as the optic for this gun. If you have read some of my other articles on other loadouts, you may think I have some bias towards this, and your assumption will be correct as I am in love with these attachments.
The red dot has aided me many times in dominating many lobbies in multiplayer, giving me a clear line of sight and accurate aim.
This optic is not good for snipers, but if you use a gun like the Kastov-4u for mid and close ranges, you should definitely go for it.

The first thing I am going to discuss is the secondary weapon that you are going to be using with your Kastov-74u.
Your primary weapon will always stay your primary weapon; however, without an excellent secondary weapon, you will find yourself in sticky situations without a way to get out of them.
For this reason, I have chosen the Lachmann-556 as the gun suiting the Kastov-74u best. This excellent lightweight assault rifle will help you dispatch your enemies in close-quarter combat. It has good aim, less recoil, and great bullet velocity, so every shot you fire counts.
Now on the Perks; I have chosen to use Overkill as I told you we will be using Lachmann 556 as a secondary weapon. With this gun, you can pick up enemies that are not in range of our 74u.
Battle Hardened is my choice for the base perk two, as the throwables you are chucking out to the enemies can be chucked back at you, which is why this perk is important as it reduces the effects of the throwables and even grants you complete immunity from the snapshot grenade.
For the base perk, I have gone with Cold Blooded, which makes you undetectable from the AI systems your enemies will be using. Your enemies will not be able to highlight you as well.
Snipers are pesky buggers and are usually hidden from the player’s view. That is why High Alert is my pick for the Ultimate perk.
This perk will inform you automatically by pulsating your vision that an enemy outside your field of view has spotted you. Once you have this warning, you can change your position to avoid being picked off by them.
For my tactical equipment pick, I have gone with Spotter scope, which allows you to mark your enemies to make them easier to dispatch.
Throwable Knife is my pick for the lethal as you may need something when you are in action, and you are out of ammo, and this will allow you to dispatch your enemy with ease.
Finally, as my pick for the Field Upgrade, I have gone with the Portable Radar, which allows you to detect nearby enemies and even those which may be out of your field of view.
How To Unlock Kastov-74u In Modern Warfare 2
To unlock the Kastov-74u, you need to level up your military rank by reaching level 23. Once you have attained this level, the Kastov 762 will be unlocked. Use this weapon in your multiplayer games until the gun reaches level 10.
Reaching this weapon level will unlock the Kastov 545, which will now be your primary weapon in multiplayer matches until it reaches level 13. Once this level has been reached, the Kastov-74u will be unlocked to you for use in multiplayer.
