With the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players have been having a lot of fun with all the new maps, guns, and attachments added. I have poured hundreds of hours into the game, mixing and matching different guns with their load-outs to get the most out of them.

The M4 is one of the first guns you will get when you jump into the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. However, do not mistake thinking that its beginner status makes it a weak gun. On the contrary, the M4 is truly a solid gun. Yes, there are some issues with the weapon’s recoil; otherwise, it is a reliable gun known to dominate many multiplayer matches.

So, to get the most out of the M4, I am bringing you the best M4 Loadout in Modern Warfare 2, which will iron out some of the initial issues with the gun and truly make it a masterclass weapon. So without further ado, let us get right into it

Best M4 Loadout Class, Attachments, and Perks

Here is the best M4 Loadout in Modern Warfare 2.

ReceiverM4
MuzzleFTAC Castle Comp
BarrelHightower 20″ Barrel
StockCorio Precio Factory
Rear GripSakin ZX Grip
OpticCronen Mini Red Dot
Magazine45 Round Mag

As I have mentioned earlier, the M4 has a problem with the recoil as it goes up, making you shoot off target when you are in auto mode.

The muzzle attachment I have gone for, the FTAC Castle Comp, almost eliminates these recoils and makes the gun more stable, allowing you to keep the gun steady and target more accurately.

For a gun to be worth it, it needs good bullet velocity, recoil control, and range. All of these things were under my consideration when I introduced the Hightower 20″ as the Barrel for the M4.

This is probably the best barrel attachment you can get for the M4, as the entire community has a consensus about it, and you would seldom find one without it.

The Corio Precio factory is my pick for the stock for the M4, as it boosts the gun’s stability and reduces the recoil. The stability comes into play, especially when you are in close counter combat, and you are going to thank me for recommending it when you have dispatched your enemies thanks to it.

The Sakin ZX Grip is an absolute pick for guns like the M4, which have a problem with their recoil. Even though you lose some stability due to it, it is ironed out thanks to my pick of the stock; however, the gain in recoil control makes it worth it.

As for the Optic, I have gone again with the community pick here, the Cronen Mini Red Dot. This is an absolute favorite among the M4 users as it is great for close and medium-range combat. This never slows you down, nor does it obscure your view, keeping your target in full sight.

Last but not least is the Magazine, which 45 Round Mag is an obvious pick as you do not want to reload during intense firefights, and this gives you enough breathing room to dispatch your enemies and then reload.

Best M4 Loadout: Perks and Equipment

Secondary WeaponExpedite 12
Base Perk 1Overkill
Base Perk 2Scavenger
Bonus PerkFast Hands
Ultimate PerkGhost
TacticalFlash Grenade
LethalThrowing Knife
Field UpgradeDead Silence

You can make a simple gun like the M4 that can dominate entire lobbies, especially if you have the skill with the right loadout. However, the right perks and equipment paired with it can make you a juggernaut in MW lobbies. Here are some of the best perks you should consider adding to the M4 loadout.

The first thing you should consider keeping your playstyle in mind is the secondary weapon. With the M4 being a short and medium-range weapon, I have chosen the Expedite 12-shot gun to be the perfect contender as the secondary weapon.

This is an absolutely powerful gun at close ranges as you can switch to it quickly and dispatch your enemies with one shot.

For the M4, the Base Perk 1 I have found suiting it the most is Overkill. This ability allows you to equip two primary weapons instead of one. Even with a 45″ Round Mag, you can run out of bullets, and with the buffed bullet velocity due to my loadout, it is better to have another primary weapon to rely on when the going gets tough.

I believe scavenger is my pick for Base Perk 2, which is made for weapons suited to close counter combat. This perk allows you to walk over dead enemies, collect their ammos and throw knives.

With the M4 as your primary weapon, you will find yourself reloading more often than not, which is why Fast Hands makes more sense than any other to be my contender for the Bonus Perk.

To keep you well hidden from those pesky radars, I have chosen Ghost to be my pick for the Ultimate Perk. This allows you to stay hidden and get the drop on your enemies without them being none the wiser.

While using the M4, you will be primarily engaged in close counter-combat, which is why Flash grenades should be equipped as your tactical equipment. Throwing one of these bad boys is going to blind and play a ringing sound in the head of your enemies right before you dispatch them.

For the Lethal equipment, you should go for the throwable knife as they are mostly a weapon of last resort. Finally, for the Field Upgrade, you should go for dead silence as it suppresses your footsteps and makes you silent to your enemies.

How To Unlock M4 In Modern Warfare 2

The M4 is a beginner weapon, so there is no need to work to get a hold of this masterpiece. However, the Gunsmith 2.0, where you will be creating the loadout, is not unlocked until you reach Military rank 4. Some of the attachments I have recommended are also locked behind levels, so you still need to put in some work before you can create this load.

However, If you do not want to wait, you can open up a Private match and try out my loadout, as they are unlocked from the get-go.

Final Verdict:

The M4, as I mentioned earlier, is a beginner weapon, yet It should not be underrated and thought of as a weak weapon. It can truly become a juggernaut of a firearm with the proper loadout and perks attached to it.

So if you want to get the most out of the M4, try my recommended loadout, as it has been put together after hundreds of in-game hours and weapon testing.
