You can interact with new slimes and craft various items absent in the first Slime Rancher game.

To craft the items present in the game, there are a few things that you are going to need. The Resource Refinery and the Upgrade fabricator are the first things that spring to mind. These can be found in the underground lab next to the Plort Market.

You may also need Plorts from various Slimes, Newbucks from treasure pods, or by selling Plorts at the Plort market, and various materials that can only be found in certain places around the map. One of these materials is Lava dust which is sought after for many upgrades in the game.

Getting Lava Dust is not straightforward, so I will explain How to Get Lava Dust In Slime Rancher 2.

How To Get Lava Dust In Slime Rancher 2

Before going into how to get Lava Dust In Slime Rancher 2, the first thing I will be getting into is getting the resource harvester. Many resources are available to you in Slime Rancher 2, and you may have even stumbled upon them.

Still, you will be unable to get them without the resource harvester upgrade, which is why I will first explain how to get them.

There are two things that you need to unlock the resource harvester. These two things are 450 Newbucks and 10 cotton plorts. Newbucks are the currency in the game, making them very easy to get.

You can get Newbucks by either selling Plorts you obtain from slimes in the Plort market or by rummaging through treasure pods.

You can find treasure pods almost everywhere on Rainbow Island, so go on and explore it to have your share of newbucks with you.

The next thing you are going to need is 10 cotton plorts. Plorts are the by-product produced by slimes when you feed them. You can find cotton slimes in many places around the world.

All you need to do is provide them a carrot, and they will give you a plort. If you feed them water lettuce instead, they will produce two cotton plorts.

Once you have 450 newbucks and 10 cotton plorts with you, head back to the base and the plort market. Sell any extra plorts that you have in your inventory.

Go left towards the stairs into the underground lab, where you should see the upgrade fabricator and the resource refinery. Shoot the 10 cotton plorts into the resource refinery and go to the upgrade fabricator.
