The creator of the Dead Space franchise has already succeeded in creating a game that rocked the gaming world for a good decade.
But, when it was announced that the game would be remade, there was a mixture of excitement and nostalgia that the game would once again be here, among us, ready to be played.
EA games and Motive Studios announced they were remaking this game for Xbox Series X, PC, Xbox Series S, and PS5. The game is being remade from the ground up with EA’s Frostbite engine.
It is exclusively developed for the PC and current-gen consoles. So, now we will see a huge difference in the gaming experience of 2008; compared to this new version.
Now, I know they are completely changing the game, and it might take some time, but EA and Motive Studios said they had set a release date that isn’t too far away. So, I am super excited to play this new version of the old game.
When the producers released the trailer in October, it showed great gameplay, visuals, and some gruesome details that will make us scared to hell as we become Isaac again.
The game is set to release on 27th January 2023, and since the release date is just around the corner, I wonder how EA and Motive Studio are making ends meet to create a perfect game.
Also, since the game is coming to new-gen consoles, you should upgrade your systems if you are using old ones; otherwise, the game won’t work on the old system.
The game will have the same story as the original Dead Space game of 2008, but this time Gunner Wright will take the role of Isaac Clarke.
The humans of the earth have used up all of their earth’s sources, and now they have to go to space to find more resources. But, the researchers find that there is an alien artifact that could work as a limitless energy source for the earth.
But things are not as simple as they seem because soon things will start to go wrong, and you (Isaac) will find that the entire crew has been slaughtered by Necromorphs (the aliens) and your partner Nicole is trapped somewhere on the ship…
Now that we have covered the whole game, only the most important question is left;
Is Dead Space Cross Platform?
The saddest part of this game is that it is not cross platform. This means that we have to play the game alone.
Earlier, Dead Space 2 had multiplayer that consisted of team-based matches. And Dead Space 3 had a co-op option. But now, it is a single-player game.
You will need the same system if you want to play it with your friends. However, since the game is not yet released, we hope that EA Games and Motive Studio will allow the players to play cross platform with friends.
However, currently, there has yet to be any news regarding whether or not the game will receive a co-op, Cross-platform, cross-generation, or cross-save option anytime soon.

Now that we have covered the whole game and have learned that no cross-platform options are coming out in January, all we can do is wait for it to release and then wait for it to become available for playing on different systems.
I also hope that the game is made in such a way that there is potential for new series reboots with some original DLCs that could lead to a new and exciting sequel.
But, the issue with older versions (Dead Space 3) was that there were way too many microtransactions that seemed forced. And we sure as hell don’t want to experience that in the new Dead Space.
So, let’s wait for the newest Dead Space to release to check how well it is made and whether it offers the promised gaming experience by developers.
