Hogwarts legacy is one of the most awaited and anticipated games that must be created because it has been stuck between releasing and not releasing for quite some time now.
But now, after spending more than two years in the impenetrable murk, the game is starting to emerge as a bit more formed, and hopefully, there won’t be any more delays. With the recent images and trailers, we can conjure a more-clear image of what the game will be like.
There are many fun things that will hit our screens on February 2023 in the form of Hogwarts Legacy, like character customization, amazing graphics, companion characters, magical artifacts, a great storyline, and of course, a lot of combat and actions.
The game will start off a couple of centuries in the past before Harry Potter’s time. It will be so much fun to enjoy the wizarding world and the history as it happened before the great war between Voldemort and Dumbledore.
The game is set in the 18th century when most of the wizarding world (popular) characters were not born, and the only character you will recognize will be a child Dumbledore.
The game will give you complete freedom to explore the wizarding world as the game unfolds the history to you.
This immersive, open-world RPG will allow the players to master the abilities and skills in the game, including spells and combat skills, and choose your companions to enjoy your journey of the story and fight enemies together.
You will also be able to complete missions and encounter scenarios that will require you to choose the difficult path, the right path.
Honestly, I have been waiting for this game to come out since last year, and hopefully, it will release on February 10th, 2023. But, before we talk any more about the game, there is one question in particular that we all want an answer to; and that is…
Is Hogwarts Legacy Cross Platform?
Hogwarts Legacy will launch for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on February 10th. But the date for its release on Nintendo Switch will be released later.
The game was supposed to be released in 2021, but it was delayed to 2022, and then it was delayed again to 2023. Hopefully, this will be the last delay.
However, the sad news is that Hogwarts Legacy does not have multiplayer, including any co-op modes; this is because it is a single-player game.
According to Avalanche Software, the game will be available on various platforms, but you won’t be able to team up with your friends to fight enemies. Instead, you will have to explore the wizarding world on your own with the NPCs.
Furthermore, the game is NOT cross platform, meaning you will have to play it in solitude, without your friends or family.
In the 21st century, it is pretty much a norm to have multiplayer and cross platform games (even with a few limitations).
Still, this RPG game is taking a more traditional approach by having no multiplayer or co-op option. The game also doesn’t have any in-game purchases or micro-transactions.
We hope that once the game is out, the developers will reconsider their decision to allow co-op and other similar options and introduce them in the game.
- Is the callisto protocol cross platform
- Is need for speed unbound cross platform
- Is god of war ragnarok cross platform
- Is high on life cross platform
- Is dead space remake cross platform
Hogwarts legacy will take you on the journey of a wizarding world that is far beyond Hogwarts. To new and familiar places like Hogsmeade, Godrick’s Hollow, Gringotts and the Forbidden Forest. I am sure it will be fun and exciting to play this game.
But, as sad as I was to hear that the game isn’t multiplayer or cross platform (even though it makes a lot of sense to introduce these features to the games because it’s fun to explore the dungeons, fly over mountains, and sneak out of the castle with friends) and even though I know that the world of Harry Potter is worth playing with friends.
Still, for now, we have to be patient and enjoy the game as a single-player when it releases in February because Warner Bros have officially ruled out the possibility of a multiplayer game (at least for the time being).
